Online design store Fab raised $339 million since it was founded in 2011. The New York company is led by 41-year-old CEO Jason Goldberg. Its backers include Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures, Pinnacle Ventures, DoCoMo Capital, First Round Capital, Baroda Ventures, The Washington Post, Zelkova Ventures, SoftTech VC, Thrive Capital, RTP Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Atomico, Phenomenon Ventures, SingTel Innov8 and Itochu Corp.

Of the 24 venture-backed companies with valuations of $1 billion or more, about 70 percent are growing in Silicon Valley and San Francisco, cementing the region's reputation as No. 1 startup leader.
Collectively, the current cadre of billion dollar babies are valued at about $82 billion, according to data provided by startup research firm Pitchbook. Twitter's $20 billion valuation accounts for about a quarter of the total. The class of 2013 has raised a total of about $9 billion in funding.
The overwhelming majority are info-tech businesses, with only two in clean tech, one in health tech and one in space exploration.
Only three have women in the CEO spot.
In terms of vintage, one dates all the way back to 1996 while the newest one is barely two years old.
The folks at Pitchbook say they only included venture-backed companies with confirmed valuations of more than $1 billion in this group.
That leaves out rumored deals like the one that would give Snapchat a value of about $4 billion. Companies that have filed for IPOs that could give them a market cap north of $1 billion were also left off the list.
So this isn't an all-inclusive ranking of businesses you may hear talked about with billion-dollar values. It's just the ones that Pitchbook feels comfortable reporting out.
