eight-acre site on Union Avenue last year, Mike Bassoni, the school’s longtime facilities director, knew it well. Some decades earlier, he had been a regular there — as a kindergartner.
Today, Harker is preparing to welcome up to 120 preschoolers to the campus in San Jose’s Cambrian neighborhood, the result of an extensive, $4 million rehabilitation effort that touched just about everything on the site, top to bottom, in a mere six months.
