Hello everyone,
I have been hired to
conduct the Nutcracker at the Center for Performing Arts in downtown San Jose!
The Nutcracker Ballet is
being presented by the San Jose Dance Theater and Los Gatos Ballet. It is
a community based non-profit that has been presenting this production for 48
years. They have professional coaches, world class set design and members
of the San Francisco Ballet performing the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and
Cavalier in Act Two.
The orchestra is
comprised of Bay Area professionals who are either excellent musicians and
making their living as such or excellent musicians that have alternate careers
whether as neural-econonomists at Stanford, doctors, therapists - you name
it.
That's it in a nutshell
- rehearsals start next week and the performances are the weekend of December
6th, 7th and 8th.
I'm really excited about
this opportunity and look forward to sharing it with all of you.
