Join us on a farm tour and
apple tasting led by Nick Prevedelli, grandson of the founder of
this family-run apple, pear and berry farm in Watsonville.
Our visit will include an overview of the apple sorting
system (custom built by the family) in operation and of the
process of preparing for the weekend farmer's markets.
Prevedelli Farms grows a wide
variety of apples, both well known and relatively unusual
heirloom varieties. As part of our visit we will tour the
orchard and sample some of this delicious fruit.
Children are welcome!
Afterwords we will gather at
a local, slow restaurant, where participants may purchase a lunch
of their choosing. Details to follow.
