The American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants has released a new financial reporting
framework for small and midsize entities, reports Businessweek. The
framework will make it simpler to create financial statements for small
businesses.

According to a new study,
startups that receive loans are more likely to survive, achieve higher
revenue and create more jobs, reports My San Antonio. The study found that
receiving a loan increases the probability the business will survive by 44
percentage points.
