Crowdsourcing the way to an amazing open house

Open Houses...Love 'em or hate 'em, they continue to be a staple of marketing a home for sale. Some agents refuse to do them and consider them a waste of time, others love the idea of getting the house in tip top shape and letting the neighbors drop by to see who they could envision living next door.
No matter your opinion on open houses, some people do a better job of marketing them and they end up more folks through the home on a given weekend. We'd like those people to raise their hand and share with us how they get people to their open house, and then what they do with them once they are there.
In our continuing effort to find great ideas that you are willing to share and bring them to the entire community, this challenge will become our third crowdsourced webinar. In these webinars, Bob combs through the 150 or so posts that you all submit and pulls out some of the best ideas to give you more focused insight into what your peers are doing to be successful.

The Challenge:

Write a blog post about what you do to promote your open houses or how you handle the open house itself. Basically, share your open house strategy with the community. Do you use signs to drive traffic? What is your strategy? Are you all about making sure you get the open house info in as many places as possible? Where do you promote them? Once people actually show up, what do you do? Have them sign in? Do you use an iPad to get their info? Do you have flyers on sight with information from your favorite lender? At the end of the day, what are you doing with your open houses that has been successful in helping you get more people to the house and take advantage of that time in front of interested buyers.

The Reward:

Every person who submits a blog post for this challenge will be given 1000 points. If Bob uses your blog post for the webinar, you will earn an additional 1000 points.
You get ideas from your peers about something that many of you are doing in your business and those ideas will help you be more effective. This is the real reward!

The Webinar:

On Thursday, August 8th at 10am Pacific Time (1pm Eastern) we will host a webinar that brings the best ideas to you in an easy-to-digest format. Bob will wade through the couple hundred posts and pull out the best ideas to share with you. We'd love if you can attend (but as always we record them and if you sign up and can't attend, we'll email you the recording...so just sign up!)
