Closing out the first month of 2013, and we're already seeing some good-sized deals in the venture capital space.
CB Insights, a company that tracks VC and angel deals, notes that the first quarter is picking up after a slow-down in deals in Q4 2012.
The top 50 deals so far this year have brought in $570 million.
In 2012, CB Insights saw 8,914 venture capital, angel and private equity deals, as well as 4,325 mergers or acquisitions.
