MBS  -6/32 @ 103.02                   10 Yr Treasury  -6/32 @ 2.206     +101@ 15281

Today's economic data had little impact. Current inflation levels remain low and create little pressure on the Fed to tighten. May CPI rose 0.1% from April, below the consensus of 0.2%, and it was just 1.4% higher than one year ago. Core CPI, which excludes food and energy, increased 0.2%, matching the consensus. Core CPI was 1.7% higher than one year ago. May Housing Starts rose 7% from April to an annual rate of 914K, which was below the consensus of 950K. Building Permits came in very close to expectations. Single family permits rose to the highest level since May 2008. No more economic data will be released today. The big event this week will be tomorrow's Fed meeting.
