Comments
from the ECB President caused MBS to move lower this morning. While no change
in rates or new action was expected today, investors expected to hear that
policy changes were likely to take place soon. Instead, the ECB President
expressed reluctance to implement additional monetary stimulus measures. Both
stocks and bonds dropped after the comments. In the US, weekly Jobless Claims
fell to 346K, close to the consensus of 350K. No more economic data will be
released today.
