The company is led by Anurag Kahool, a former Juniper engineering chief, and Nat Kausik, the former CEO of Arcot Systems, and FineGround. Attempts to reach Kausik for comment at the number listed on the filing were unsuccessful.
The company listed Palo Alto as its address in the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Kahool's LinkedIn profile says he became a founder at Bitglass after leaving Juniper Networks last month. He was previously a senior engineering director at Cisco Systems and also lists several patents on his profile.
Kausik is listed as president and CEO of Bitglass on the SEC filing. In addition to the companies where he was CEO, Kausik was an entrepreneur-in-residence at NEA and later was with a tech incubator backed by NEA and Shasta Ventures.
He wrote a book on machine learning in 1991 and has a number of patents to his credit, as well.
Two venture investors are listed as
board members at Bitglass: Forest Baskett of NEA and Matthew Howard of Norwest Venture Partners.
