Menlo Ventures adviser Shervin Pishevar disclosed on Monday that he and former Goldman Sachs managing director Scott Stanford are raising a $150 million fund for their new company-building venture.
The Securities & Exchange Commission filing on Tuesday called the fund they are raising the Sherpa Ventures Fund.
Pishevar and Stanford said back in February that they are launching The Foundry to help build other companies and work with large corporations and other founders to come up with ideas for new startups. He said there would be a fund raised to help support those new companies.
Pishevar has stayed on at Menlo as an adviser to companies he helped fund after he joined the firm in 2011. While at Menlo he worked with a number of startups, including Uber, Fab, Warby Parker and Tumblr.
