$30M Mountain View project fulfills Malek's legacy

When Moosa Malek acquired 605 Castro St. in the heart of downtown Mountain View in 2006, he had dreams of replacing the outdated structure with a four-story Class A office building.
But Malek never got to see that dream realized. He died in early 2012, six years after being diagnosed with ALS, often called Lou Gehrig’s disease.
His daughters, Mitra and Mina Malek, are on the cusp of completing the vision. The $30 million project, aptly called Malek Legacy, is slated to break ground early next month.
