What To Buy In July
Are you wondering where June went? We certainly are.But since it’s almost there, we want to tell you where to find some freebies, best sales, and what not to buy in July.
Fabulous Freebies
Head into your local 7-Eleven on July 11th for a free SlurpeeAll summer long, you can register your kids to play 2 games of bowling for free. Check out KidsBowlFree to find a local bowling alley near you.
Great Sales
Target is holding a buy-one-get-one-half-off sale for swimsuits and cover-ups, so if you haven’t found the right suit yet, now may be the time. Many other stores like Victoria’s Secret are holding clearance sales for their swimwear as well.Bath and Body Works is holding their semi-annual sale.
Look for stores holding “Black Friday” sales or “Christmas in July” sales.
Many clothing stores like Levi’s and office supply stores like Staples are starting their back to school sales. Now is the time to stock up on jeans.
Look for big Independence Day sales for in-season items and home appliances.
July is National Ice Cream month, so look for great sales on ice cream. Also, look for freebies or discounts on Sunday July 21st which is the official National Ice Cream Day.
Best Prices
- Electronics like tablets and large screen LCD HDTVs. Look for last year’s models which should be deeply discounted
- Apple and HP are planning on discounts in July for students. A valid student identification will be required.
- Sony PlayStation 3 will be discounted to clear inventory before the PlayStation4 is released
- Sports gear for baseball and golf
- Grills after 4th of July. They should hit their lowest price in August.
- Furniture. Many stores are trying to clear out inventory before late August/early September when they receive the new furniture.
- Sandals are at their lowest in mid- to late July.
- Digital SLRs
- Tools. Get your DIY on this month. The prices are at their lowest matched only by November and December. Look for sales on tool sets, accessories, and tool storage units.
What to Wait On
Wait until Labor Day sales for bedding as the discounts are usually deeper then. You’ll also have a better selection.Wait until September or October for patio sets.
Sunglasses are at their best price in September, November and December.
School supplies will be a lot cheaper in late August.
Hard to Tell
Some sites are forecasting to buy laptops in July, and others are predicting better prices in August. And the flip side is some are advocating waiting to buy a desktop and others are saying to go for it. So, do your research.In-Season Fruits and Vegetables
