Communications from the Town Crier

Now, I wasn't on "Royal Baby Watch" this week (as apparently the rest of the world was), but it's impossible to miss the video of the self-appointed town crier's Royal Baby Announcement. However unconventional his style, that was certainly powerful communication, don't you think?

While we all know how powerful our actions are in influencing others, we cannot lose sight of how powerful our words are as well.

Our words matter.
This is true in any role we play in life, but the importance is further highlighted if we hold a role in supervisor leadership, executive leadership, or any type of corporate or organizational leadership.

If we want to make a positive difference, we must consider positive, encouraging, forward looking, uplifting, confidence-building words.

Our choice of words matters in our formal coaching and mentoring roles, in our presentations and emails, and they matter in our everyday face to face interactions with people.

Your leadership communication is about more than just the right corporate messages or sharing the monthly update.  Your responsibility as a leadership communicator must start with consciously choosing the words that will lead people in the direction that best serves both them and the organization.

Your words matter, choose them wisely.

The town crier isn't the only one with something to say. Check out what our past attendees have to say about the Ultimate Communicator workshop...

"This training was the best training class I have ever attended! It teaches you more than communication skills; it teaches you conflict management by understanding DISC Model, building trust and how to take control of influence you are creating on others. I will use this Leadership class at work and home!"

"The facilitator and content delivery was the best I have experienced in memory. I was totally engaged from start to end of program and beyond...I will be highly recommending this course to colleagues and friends."
