Before you think this is "just another fad" or "just something else to do", take a look at the screenshot below taken this morning of my Slideshare ranking on Google. Yes...I have the first place ranking for my website and the fourth place ranking for my blog. (YAY!) Something else interesting, though, is the third place ranking of a slideshow uploaded to Slideshare. It reached page one ranking on Google within a few weeks of posting and has remained there since.
This particular slideshow was uploaded to Slideshare about 3 years ago and has since had 16,769 views. Something interesting is that even though Slideshow offers the ability to add audio, this slideshow is silent giving me to think that it's possible to make the content speak for itself.
Promotion is key to your success. Once your slideshow is uploaded to Slideshare, it's formatted for upload to You Tube where it can be further optimized and promoted. "List of Real Estate Support Services" was created with Slideshare's free version. Paid memberships are also available.
Now that you know what Slideshare is and how it can be another tool in your promotional tool belt, just think of the possibilities for gaining exposure online.
