Michael McClure joins The GoodLife Team

Well-known real estate player joins Austin, Texas, brokerage

Michael McClure, founder and CEO of a small brokerage in Michigan and the moderator of the well-known Facebook Group “Raise the Bar in Real Estate,” has joined the Austin, Texas, brokerage The GoodLife Team as chief content officer.
McClure will post lots of content, including blog posts and videos, and will run a Facebook group in his role at The GoodLife Team, a small, independent brokerage led by Krisstina Wise, who’s become a well-known presence herself in real estate. In 2010, Inman News named The GoodLife Team the “most innovative brokerage or franchise” of the year.
McClure will also continue to do the same work he’s done over the last few years that has made him a big presence in the real estate space: run his Plymouth, Mich.-based brokerage Professional One Real Estate as founder and CEO; grow the 2-year-old real estate professionalization service Verified Professionals LLC as CEO; and moderate the popular 3,317-member “Raise the Bar in Real Estate” Facebook Group.
“I have no wife or kids,” McClure said, jokingly, “so I can do it all.”
McClure, who has more than 56,000 followers on Twitter, says he’s worked hard over the last few years to build his presence in the social media space so he’d have an opportunity to attract a job like the one he just accepted with The GoodLife Team.
After 10 years early in his career in what he calls the superprofessional certified public accountant world, McClure said, his passion has become leveling up the professionalism in the real estate industry.

And, by teaming up with the growing, “innovative” team in Austin, he’ll have the opportunity to do that with a company that’s growing and is open to doing things differently, he said.
At The GoodLife Team, McClure will also help Wise run her professional network CoffeeWithKrisstina. McClure says he’ll still be headquartered in Michigan, for now.
