Two whites, one love
We are proud to serve by the glass the white Dido, a rich Macabeu/Garnatxa blend produced in Montsant. Named after the infamously beautiful Queen of Carthage, this is a barrel-fermented, full-bodied, deeply mineral offering with herbal and ripe fruit aromas. It is made by two winemaking geniuses: Sara Pérez and René Barbier, who gained fame with their Priorat creations.
Pérez and Barbier spend most of their time at their small winery in Montsant, but they still find time to assist Dominio Do Bibei, a winery located in the westermost part of Spain, in Ribeira Sacra (Galicia). This winery is best known for the red Lalama, a Mencía blend we've been serving for a while. We've just received their very limited white offering "Lapola", a mix of Godello, Dona Blanca with small additions of other indigenous grapes. Lapola was fermented in big neutral barrels and aged sur lie for nine months, acquiring a super tasty, nicely layered profile: nutmeg, jasmine, melon, lemon, almonds...
2011 Sara Pérez & René Barbier "Dido": $16 glass / $48 bottle (50% off retail)
2008 Dominio Do Bibei "Lapola": $69 (50% off retail)
Coffee

Pour-over Coffee Drip Bar
We just build a custom pour over drip bar to serve individually brewed cups made from a rotating selection of single origin beans. Coming up this week:

- Elida Estate (Panama)
An incredible amount of juiciness starts as notes of berries wash over the palate. Fresh and deep mango flavors remain alongside the luscious and decadent mouthfeel.

- Konga Cooperative (Ethiopia)
Intense tropical fruit flavors are just the beginning of this coffee. As layers of passion fruit, mango and guava are highlighted by lavender, a creamy mouthfeel presents itself. This balance of vivid attributes is nothing short of graceful.
