Top 5: HealthTap topped last week's Silicon Valley fundings

HealthTap, which helps doctors answer basic questions from their patients, topped last week's funding news in Silicon Valley.
The Palo Alto startup claims about 38,000 U.S. doctors use its platform to connect with about 8 million unique visitors every month.
Here is more on that funding and the others in the top five:
HealthTap raises $24M
HealthTap Inc. said on Wednesday that it raised $24 million in Series B funding and added venture investor Keith Rabois, the former chief operating officer of Square Inc., to its board.
The Palo Alto startup led by founder and CEO Ron Gutman said that Rabois’ firm, Khosla Ventures, led the round with previous backers Mayfield Fund and Mohr Davidow Ventures also participating.
Khosla Ventures’ founder Vinod Khosla is also joining HealthTap as an advisor after the latest funding.

Silk Road Medical raises $17M
Stealthy medical device developer Silk Road Medical Inc. disclosed on Wednesday that it raised $17 million in new funding.
The Sunnyvale startup led by CEO Tony Chou didn’t disclose who the money came from but indicated there were four investors involved.
In addition to Chou, other executives listed were President Erica Rogers, Richard Mott, Philip Oettinger and John Slattery.
Directors listed on the form include Noah Knauf of Warburg Pincus, Jack Lasersohn and Elizabeth Weatherman.
