The top commercial real estate sale of 2012 was so massive, its total sale price alone is equivalent (or pretty close) to the other top four sales combined on our list.

This week the Business Journal published a list of the top 25 CRE Sales in Silicon Valley*. The list was ranked by the sale price in Silicon Valley.
Information was obtained from Cassidy Turley.
The top five sold properties are reportedly worth over $1.6 billion in 2012 in Silicon Valley. A breakdown of each sales’ square footage, price per square foot and the buyer and seller can also be found in the print edition.
*Silicon Valley includes: Santa Clara County; Fremont, Newark and Union City in Alameda County; Atherton, Belmont, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo and Woodside in San Mateo County; and San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.
