Today’s social business has many advantages over a traditional business – that advantage is having access to forward thinking business minds across the globe and the ability to share, connect, build relationships & communities of like-minds to solve problems throughout the world.
Lofty thinking for sure, but today’s business environment is ripe for big thinking entrepreneurs to have a global impact through their work.
Politics and religion in and of themselves are not evil; however they are manipulated by ambitious unscrupulous men in power to harbor hatred, violence and division through misunderstanding and ignorance.
It’s shameful, disgusting behavior that is used only for gain and significance in the world by those who seek it, and at the expense and disregard for those they serve.
In all my work what I try to say is that as human beings we are more alike than we are unalike. Maya Angelou
Has the social web broadened your understanding of people from different cultures?
I’ve connected with people from many countries, without political and religious barriers and they’re no different from any other human-beings I’ve been attracted to, drawn to and/or inspired by.
I’m touched by goodness, decency, vision, and the desire to make the world a better place and you will find this heart & mindset in every culture and in every country throughout the globe.
Politics and religion divide, conquer and kill the very best humanity has to offer.
Social business can change this…
Social Business can build bridges across cultural divides that brings people together in harmony for the common good of all.
The world of business has been shaken at the very core by the social web and social media platforms that power it and are transforming how businesses are started and why.
Communication between business minds around the world are connecting, strategizing and building businesses of the future and all are powered by relationships.
This is nothing new in the world of business. It’s been this way forever and a day. The difference is it’s not just the privileged few (big business) participating in it.
You and I can now participate in it, thereby giving a voice to the ‘little people’ in the world who desire to make a difference.
Not only that, if you connect all the passion, vision, drive of good people in the world, big business doesn’t stand a chance.
All of their money, lobbyists and market share cannot measure up to human relationships and I’m sorry, but they’re not very good at building business on relationships.
They have too much cash that blinds their ambition and makes them oblivious to heart transactions.
In other words;
They have no heart
They just have money to buy bullshit that can’t hold water. If you can’t see this in big business, the governments who are bought off to support their cause and the banks that finance them with ludicrous financial schemes, you’re blind and possibly stupid.
Sorry about that. Seeing how small business owners and small investors are ripped off day in and day out by big business, bankers and governments pisses me off.
Okay, maybe not all big company’s are like this, but I really can’t think of one that isn’t. When you get in a certain position of financial status and power the tendency is to think you know what’s best for the rest of humanity and the only problem with this mindset is it’s driven by a thirst for more power, control and greed.
These motives will never serve the common good for all…
Businesses of yesterday were driven, power, prestige and profits. The humanization of business can change this because good people are motivated by much more than the almighty dollar.
Social businesses are built around people, relationships, common values, and a purpose bigger than themselves and are driven by a mission to have a positive impact on global society.
A social business has substance that is derived from every individual who’s connected to it for the right reasons and together any mission can be accomplished.
In other words;
They do well by coming together to do good in the world.
