Ray Rothrock of Venrock went out as chairman of the National Venture Capital Association in style Tuesday
night, playing bass guitar and rocking a private concert at San Francisco's
Great American Music Hall.
Silicon Valley Bank, which hosted the concert on the
first day of the NVCA's annual convention posted YouTube video of several VC
bands including Rothrock's band.

Partners is taking over as chairman of the VC group. Scott Sandell of New Enterprise Associates was named as chair-elect
for the 2014-2015 year.
Other new directors elected are s new directors to its board: Scott Kupor of Andreessen
Horowitz; Sue Siegel of GE
healthymagination, John
Backus of New Atlantic Ventures, Art Pappas of Pappas Ventures, Mark Leschly of Rho Capital
Partners and Jim Healy of
Sofinnova Ventures.The band led by Rothrock was one of three VC warm-up acts at the concert last night before headliner Pat Monahan Trio, featuring Train lead singer Pat Monahan, took the stage.
