yesterday, weaker than expected economic data lifted MBS early in the session.
The difference is that MBS markets held more of their gains today, leaving MBS
prices nearly unchanged from Friday's closing levels. Jobless Claims, CPI,
Housing Starts, and Philly Fed all came in below expectations. Tomorrow,
Leading Indicators and Consumer Sentiment will be released at 10:00 et.
Freddie Mac reported that average mortgage rates rose in the week through May 16, with 30-yrs hitting 3.51%, from 3.42% the prior week.
