This morning, it has been reported that Congress is closer to reaching a two-year budget deal, causing MBS to move lower. A deal would reduce the uncertainty about fiscal policy. This might make Fed officials less hesitant to taper the bond purchase program, which would be negative for MBS. No economic data will be released today. The results from the 10-yr Treasury auction will come out around 1:00 et.
