Problem-Solving Questions
A good question is worth a thousand bold statements. ~Me
Take a look at the kinds of questions you unconsciously ask yourself. I’m guessing they are questions like these:
*Why is this happening to me?
*Why can’t things be different?
*Why can’t I lose weight?
*Why can’t I be better looking?
*Why am I not smarter?
Any question that begins with the word, “why”, is going to take you down a path you likely do not want to go. When you ask “why” of yourself, it makes you the victim. When you ask “why” of someone else, it puts them instantly on the defensive. Replace the word, “why” with the word, “what”.
Try these problem-solving questions from Anthony Robbins:
*What is great about this problem?*What is not perfect yet?
*What am I willing to do to make it the way I want it?
*What am I willing to no longer do in order to make it the way I want it?
*How can I enjoy the process while I do what is necessary to make it the way I want it?
You will go from victim to problem solver if you replace these questions with the questions that usually begin with, “why”. Try it and share your experience with me in the comments.
WHAT would happen if you tried it?
