Now, according to Business Insider, "Consumer Reports says iPhone 5 is the worst of the top smartphones."
Huh?
With competitors like Samsung coming out with smartphones at what seems like a monthly rate, a lot can change in a quarter, but "best" to "worst" is a big drop, isn't it?
Business Insider reproduced a smartphone graphic which it said offered no explanation for the rankings it contains.
Among devices available for AT&T customers, it showed the iPhone at No. 3,
behind the LG Optimus G and Samsung Galaxy 5 III. It is only separated by two
points on a scale of 100.
It showed the same ranking and spread for Sprint customers. For Verizon customers, the iPhone 5 didn't even make the top three, which included instead Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD at No. 1, the Motorola Droid Razr HD at No. 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S III at No. 3.
Ouch.
Apple is rumored to be hard at work on an iPhone 6 that will reportedly come out less than a year after its predecessor. With rapid shifts in rankings like this, maybe it has to.
