No economic data was released today. A press conference from
President Obama provided few signs of progress in reaching an agreement with
Republicans. Demand was weaker than average for the 3-yr Treasury auction.
Tomorrow, the Minutes from the September 18 Fed Meeting will be released at
2:00 et. These detailed Minutes provide additional insight into the debate
between Fed officials. Given that the Fed surprised nearly every investor at
this meeting by not tapering, the Minutes could be a market moving event. The
results from the 10-yr Treasury auction will come out around 1:00 et.
