Mayer's first acquisition, Stamped, was a New York-based company that let users share recommendations of books, restaurants, etc. with friends. An acqui-hire, Yahoo picked up nine employees for its mobile team in New York. Stamped CEO Robby Stein also used to work for Mayer as a Google product manager.

Marissa Mayer has been busy at the helm of Yahoo for nearly nine months. In that time, she’s bought six startups, is reportedly planing a major investment into a much larger one, and is still rumored to have several other smaller deals and at least one big one in play.
