As Executive Director, Tom Myers is the chief executive officer of the agency and responsible for day-to-day operations. He has held the position since October 1999.
Tom began his career in the private sector working in advertising and public relations. A three year period of service in the Peace Corps sent him down a new career path in public service. Tom came to CSA from ARIS (AIDS Resources, Information and Services of Santa Clara County), where he was Associate Director of Development and Public Relations. Prior to ARIS, he worked as a Media Specialist for the Consumer Information Center (CIC) in Washington, DC.
Maureen Wadiak

As Associate Director, Maureen Wadiak is responsible for the supervision of program staff and program evaluation and quality assurance for CSA’s four core programs. Additionally, she is responsible for government contracts and United Way of Silicon Valley funding proposals and outcome evaluations. She has over 20 years supervisory and management experience in a variety of health social service agencies. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and has been an Instructor of Social Work at San Jose State University. Currently, she is the Chair of the Silicon Valley Oral Health Collaborative, a member of the local Emergency Food & Shelter Program Board, the Second Harvest Food Bank Advisory Board and the Mountain View-Los Altos Adult Education School Advisory Committee.
Marvin Sabado

Marvin Sabado has led the finance department of various nonprofits for many years, most recently with Horizons Foundation in San Francisco and Rebekah Children’s Services in Gilroy. As Community Services Agency’s Director of Finance and Operations, he oversees all aspects of the organization’s financial management and reporting, as well as its operations, including human resources.
Marvin has a BS degree in Accounting from SJSU. In his life outside the office, Marvin is a board advisor and former lead dancer for Kaisahan of San Jose, a dance company he co-founded in 1982 dedicated to developing and performing authentic Filipino folk dances. He also enjoys photography, musical theater and is an avid San Jose Sharks fan. GO SHARKS!!

As Development Director, Jim Boin is the chief fundraiser for the agency, making sure CSA has a good mix of government, foundation, business, and individual giving to sustain the services provided today and for the future. With the support and assistance of the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, he organizes and plans the annual Spring Dinner Dance & Fundraising Event and Hometown Heroes breakfast every September. His job is to ensure communications with our donors soliciting contributions for our year-end campaign and for any challenge grants we night have, in addition to communicating the impact, results, and value of their gifts to the lives of those we help.
His kids have flown their mother’s coop to Anchorage, Grand Rapids, and Tempe, so now he has moved to San Francisco where he leads the life of a bon-vivant and raconteur. Christina Sudairy

Christina Sudairy provides daily support of CSA's development and communication efforts, as well as planning and logistics support for annual fundraising events: Hometown Heroes and the Spring Gala. Chris also manages CSA's monthly “Chefs Who Care” dining events.
Prior to joining CSA, Chris served as Communications Director for St. Timothy's in Mountain View, and as Development Officer at Peninsula Habitat for Humanity (now Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco). Estela Salgado

Estela Salgado has been with CSA for over 40 years. When she first moved from Mexico City in 1968, her first job was as a driver for the English as a Second Language program that CSA started, which has now moved on to Adult Education. At that time, she was learning English, and after two years, she became the receptionist for the agency and soon the assistant to the director. She later became a case worker for the Emergency Assistance program, and then as its director. Estela retired when she was 65, but returned to work part-time as the Operations Assistant.
She has been able to play many roles and see CSA change. After all these years, she feels that the best part of CSA is helping people in need and seeing them get out of the situations they are in. "I’ve seen people working and make it on their own and this makes me feel good," she says.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her four grandchildren. Usually, her grandson spends time with her on the weekends and they have a great time together. She loves attending his sports games and school events. Alison Hopkins

Alison Hopkins is the Director of Volunteers, managing over 400 volunteers a year, and coordinating CSA’s Holiday Sharing Program. She adores working in an environment that thrives when helping people in need. She especially loves coming to work every day to such a warm-hearted group of staff and volunteers that really make these successful programs possible.
Alison started her nonprofit work through Americorps VISTA, which placed her in charge of volunteers and outreach for the Santa Clara County Meals on Wheels program. That was when she realized that the nonprofit world is where she belongs.
Alison began her work with the community at Humboldt State University, directing a mental health and education program through the Psychology Department.
Jessie was Alison’s beloved Rottweiler when she lived in Arcata and the two of them loved nothing more than romps on the beaches or in the local Redwood forests. She is a lover of camping, hikes, cooking and all animals (except emus and ostriches).

Nadia Ilieva is the Homeless Services Specialist for the Alpha Omega Homeless Services Program. She provides outreach and case management services to the unhoused population of Mountain View and Los Altos. Nadia assists them in locating and securing housing, benefits, healthcare and employment. Whether it's through conducting outreach, teaching life skills, providing food and needed supplies, linking clients to appropriate services, or simply listening, Nadia’s vision is to strengthen our community by helping people meet life's challenges
Nadia’s interest in the nonprofit field began when she started working as a case manager at Tri-Valley Heaven in Livermore. She gained experience working with homeless individuals and she gained knowledge in regards to community based services. Nadia enjoys her position at CSA because it offers a flexible, dynamic and interactive way to make a real difference in the life of a person in need and to get involved in enhancing public awareness of issues of homelessness.
Nadia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cal State Hayward and is currently working on her Master of Arts degree in Psychological Research at San Francisco State University. Nadia loves skiing, mountain biking, fine arts, and traveling to new places.

Elba Landaverde
Program Director, Emergency Assistance

Elba Landaverde is the Emergency Assistance Program Director at Community Services Agency. She and her staff provide case management and take care of families’ critical needs to stabilize their emergency.
She began her career in the nonprofit sector while she was attending college. She enjoyed working with the disadvantaged population and observing many of them make remarkable progress was very gratifying. Later in 2000, she joined Community Services Agency and became the Emergency Assistance Program Director.
Ever since then, she has been committed to her job at CSA and is aware of the issues the community is facing. She works very hard in preventing the families from becoming homeless. Her dedication to the community can be seen by providing essential resources to prevent clients from loosing their permanent housing and liking them to outside resources which will all eventually result in helping people gain self-sufficiency.
Elba possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is considering going back to school to obtain her Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Outside work, she’s very outgoing and likes to spend time with her family and friends. She has many pets which she dedicates time to. She shares her house with one cat, 2 dogs and 6 birds. After a long day at the office, she goes hiking with her dogs Jack, Twinkie and her husband. Leslie Iglesias is an Emergency Assistance case worker at CSA. Her duties include conducting intake of clients to determinate eligibility for program. She also works with other agencies to provide clients with quality referrals and assistance.
In our community there are many people that are in need, and most of them they do not know where should go? Who can help them? Who can listen to them? It is her job to give them the help and resources that are provided with dignity and respect. It’s rewarding because she see their faces and their satisfaction and gratitude when she help them get out of their situations. "It is great to know that I can give help to those that are in need," she says.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and family. She loves to reading, shopping, watching baseball, traveling and going out with friends.

LaDrea Clark is the Food & Nutrition Assistant in the Food & Nutrition Center. She does this job because of her love for people and her love for helping the community. She loves to make people feel comfortable with her and about their situation in the present time. LaDrea loves CSA because of the many different ways CSA can help the less fortunate. "This is the best agency I have ever seen," LaDrea says, "People get their food needs met every day of the week." All of her co-workers are wonderful people. She also gives thanks to the volunteers and Volunteer Director for all that they do. This place could not function without them.
LaDrea worked in community service at her church for years in Oakland before moving to Mountain View. She was born in San Francisco and raised by her grandmother and great grandmother for a portion of her life on a farm. There, she gained a love for their five horses which are her favorite animals. She is married and has three children.
LaDrea's past job experiences include being a teacher's aide and being a counselor at three different group homes, one of which was for drug and alcohol addicted teens. She also worked at Old Republic Title Company as a document recorder for the San Francisco City Hall.

Darci was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, moving to California when she was 15 years old. She graduated from Del Mar High School, then attended CCOC — graduating in 2009 with a certificate in Medical Assisting.
She has a five year old son, who is the love of her life. "My son is my world." She likes to spend her free time with family, friends, and her two dogs.

"I managed City of San Jose Berryessa Community Center Senior Nutrition Program, which is also partnered with Santa Clara County, for over 11 years. I came to CSA in 2011 as Senior Nutrition Manager and have been able to continue doing a job I love. A bonus has been being a part of a sincere group of professional who are so kind and caring."

Tom has been President of the Association of United Way Agencies (AUWA) and
has held a seat on the board of directors of United Way Silicon Valley. Tom is
a former member of the Human Relations Commission for the City of Mountain View
and served as that body’s first chair when it was implemented. He has served on
the board of directors and as President of the Bay Area Municipal Elections
Committee (BAYMEC). He is currently the President of the Mountain View Rotary
Club.Issues he has focused on have included the arts, health care, health

Nutrition Center at the Mountain View Senior Center. "With over 20 accumulative
years as a restaurant / catering business owner and manager it feels great
giving back every day at work knowing I play a part in the seniors of the
community eating a balanced,healthy meal for lunch. In my down time I enjoy
taking in live music or exploring some exotic coral reef."

Elizabeth Medina works as an Emergency Assistance Case Manager at CSA. Her responsibilities include determining a client's eligibility for services through the intake process, and continuing to oversee the client’s file throughout the life of their relationship with CSA. She also assists with referrals to our sister non-profit agencies in order to provide additional resources.
Elizabeth graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and hope to eventually return to school and get a Ph.D. Prior to working at CSA, she worked in the corporate world while volunteering for non-profit agencies and fundraisers. She is very excited to have made the leap into the non-profit sector so that she can be directly involved in lending a hand to the community. Her role at CSA allows her to positively impact individuals and families that are suffering the hardest through uncertain times. By working together with her clients in an open and honest fashion, she hopes to provide them with the greatest help available while maintaining the integrity and dignity of those in need.
Outside of work, she very much enjoys working on my photography and supporting local art and music. She loves to spend time with family and friends, read, travel, and root for the San Jose Sharks! Truc Nguyen

Truc Nguyen is a Senior Case Manager for the Senior Services Program. She provides case management services to frail elderly clients who are at risk for institutionalization. She assists those who want to live in the community to remain in their own homes safely and independently; she helps those who need a more sheltered environment to choose accommodation that is best for them. She conducts home visits and comprehensive psychosocial and health assessments to identify clients' needs and develop care plan accordingly. Gabriel Ventura lives in Mountain View. Her works at the

Elizabeth graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and hope to eventually return to school and get a Ph.D. Prior to working at CSA, she worked in the corporate world while volunteering for non-profit agencies and fundraisers. She is very excited to have made the leap into the non-profit sector so that she can be directly involved in lending a hand to the community. Her role at CSA allows her to positively impact individuals and families that are suffering the hardest through uncertain times. By working together with her clients in an open and honest fashion, she hopes to provide them with the greatest help available while maintaining the integrity and dignity of those in need.
Outside of work, she very much enjoys working on my photography and supporting local art and music. She loves to spend time with family and friends, read, travel, and root for the San Jose Sharks! Truc Nguyen

Truc Nguyen is a Senior Case Manager for the Senior Services Program. She provides case management services to frail elderly clients who are at risk for institutionalization. She assists those who want to live in the community to remain in their own homes safely and independently; she helps those who need a more sheltered environment to choose accommodation that is best for them. She conducts home visits and comprehensive psychosocial and health assessments to identify clients' needs and develop care plan accordingly.
