Yahoo brings Tweets straight to newsfeed

Yahoo and Twitter have joined forces to bring tweets straight to Yahoo's newsfeed, Marissa Mayer announced this morning.
"Tweets have become an important information source for many of our users, so we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Twitter to bring Tweets directly into the Yahoo newsfeed," she wrote. "We will seamlessly include relevant and personalized Tweets alongside stories from Yahoo and our other sources."
Tweets will now stream directly onto Yahoo Inc.'s homepage, integrating Twitter handles and "Follow" buttons to the right of the stories, which allows users to add the news organization to their own account.
Yahoo is in the middle of reinventing itself with Mayer's startup shopping spree and redesigned products like Flickr and its iOS Weather app.
Mayer explained that the integration will roll out to U.S. desktop and mobile users over the next few days.
