MBS have climbed a little higher this morning. As widely expected, Janet Yellen was nominated to replace Ben Bernanke as the next Fed Chair. There was little reaction to the news. The Minutes from the September 18 Fed Meeting will be released at 2:00 et. These detailed Minutes provide additional insight into the debate between Fed officials. Given that the Fed surprised nearly every investor at this meeting by not tapering, the Minutes could be a market moving event. The results from the 10-yr Treasury auction will come out around 1:00 et.
