It was her first time to the group and I've had several productive and fun experiences at the meetings.   At table #38 Linda just so happen to sit next to a woman who owns a general contracting company with her husband. Guess what Linda needs...some remodeling in her home. Connection! Makes ya love networking. Linda hits it off with another gal at her table and they already planned getting together again. Connection! "Great event, can't wait for the next one" says Linda.   Over at Table #43 there wasn't much connection. I'm the first one to the table and am eager to meet more people, so exciting. I'm thinking...hum, I wonder who I'll be able to help? I wonder who will be able to help me. I sat between Shelli and Colleen and we struggled through conversation because they are self-proclaimed shy. I racked my brain for what could I ask or say to help stimulate conversation. I pulled out my best questions, took more interest in them than being heard myself and made sure to include both of them in the conversation. I worked it. It was difficult. I was hating networking. Yet, I'll go back.    Can you relate? I know ya can. Sometimes networking sucks. Most of the time it works.     My table #43 experience is a huge reason I offer a structured networking approach at my events.
