Facebook hired David Weekly, a founder director of Hacker Dojo who most recently ran Gaston Labs, to help with developer relations.
Weekly begins today, according to Business Insider. Weekly announced his new job in a Tweet on Friday.
The move is seen as a part of an effort by Facebook to relieve tension with developers that has arisen as the social network makes changes to how apps work on its platform.
Weekly's Gaston Labs will shut down. His co-founder, Nathan Schmidt, also will join Facebook, according to the report. Facebook is not acquiring Gaston Labs.
