Rumor has it

What in the World Happened in 1993?
A lot of things have changed since 1993.  The Dow Jones closed the year at 3654.  The average cost of a new home was $113,000. Highway 85 was a piecemeal freeway that you had to get on and off four separate times to traverse from 101 to 280.  Princeton Capital was just an idea...
In 1993, Princeton Capital was formed as a joint venture between First Franklin Financial and Contempo Realty.  There were 4 loan officers, two processors and a manager.
Over the years the company grew, the bond with Contempo Realty (eventually Coldwell Banker) grew, and our market share grew.  Eventually, we worked our way up to being one of the top purchase money lenders in the Bay Area.
None of this could have been done without each and every one of our valuable staff and loan officers.  Hard work, perseverance, and a "can do" attitude were what we started with, and those same things have allowed us to grow and prosper.
Thank you so much for all of your contributions.  The "special sauce" that makes RMR Financial a great place to be is YOU.

Sales Beats Ops... It was a WAR!
The Annual RMR Financial Family Picnic was held at Vasona Park on October 12.  There was food, libation and fun for all who attended - as well as plenty of people watching!
After a meal of tri-tip, ribs, chicken, beans, salads, garlic bread and more there was a sundae bar for all to enjoy.  The hosted games included sack races, egg tosses and a real tug-of-war, capped off by a faceoff between sales and ops.
Ops won the first tug of war battle, so the Sales Team rustled up a few more strong LO's and went on to win both the second and third battles and were pronounced the winners of the grudge match.
Kids young and old enjoyed playing on the HUGE bounce house/obstacle course during the course of the day.  It is rumored that several big kids (read: Loan Officers) had fun on the course as well!
A highlight of the day for all was the unexpected appearance of over 600 eleaborately costumed people from all over Northern California.  They were there to attend a CosPlay event for all of Northern California, and they were something to see!  They were as nice as can be and even allowed many of the RMR crew to take photos with them!
Thanks to all who attended!

A large contingent of RMR staffers ran and walked in the 2013 San Jose Rock and Roll Half Marathon.
Participants included (from left to right) Lorena Eloisa, Bryanna Costa, Carolynne Watcha, Ameeta Gala, Patty Heubel and Sarah McCann.  All were finishers in their respective categories.
Congratulations ladies!  The marketing department especially loves your uniforms!

Pandora Reaches New Heights!
You'd never know it by looking at her, but Pandora Leininger, set up associate, is an accomplished rock climber!  Her own words about her two most recent trips are below!
Journey 1 August 5th-9th.    The Grand Teton in Wyoming was a 2 day 28 mile round trip journey up 13,770ft .  It required the skills of hiking, bouldering (hopping from rock to rock) harnessing up to rock climb up 5 pitches (steep section of a route that requires a rope between two belays, as part of a climbing system) and last but not least repelling 180ft off the side of a cliff.  It was one of the hardest but most amazing things I did.  We were there for a week and had to take an 8 hour training course with our guide the day before we started our adventure. The first day we hiked for 8 hours then  slept in a tent/bunker with 15 other people.   For dinner we ate leftover pizza that we had bought the night before and even after it sat in our packs all day it was the best meal ever.  On day 2 we got up at 3am and hit the trail at 4 with head lamps shining bright.  We summited the top around 8:30am had a little break and some food then headed down for a 12 hour hike back to the base.

Journey 2 Sept 13th-15th.  The reason why I love the outdoors so much.  My daughter and I took my 86 year old day up Brokeoff Mountain located about an hour from Redding in the Lassen National park.  My dad started me on these crazy adventures when I was young.  But once I got married and had a kid I kind of mellowed out a bit.  But now that she’s older I’m back to my crazy self.  So I thought it would be a good idea to do for him what he always did for me and I took him hiking.  This was a 7 mile hike up 9235ft.  It took us 4 hours to get to the top because of his age and speed but he made it.  Funny though by the time we got to the top he was famous.  People waited for him at the top so they could take their picture with him.  It was a special moment.  One guy even started to cry he was so happy for my dad.

DeAnn Kennedy Welcomes Baby Boy!
DeAnn Kennedy and her husband, Patrick Keaveny welcomed their first child, Dawson Patrick Keaveny on Monday September 2nd at 12:55pm (Labor Day!).
The doctors had assumed Dawson was going to be an average-sized baby but he was born weighing 8 lbs 13 oz (larger than average in anyone's book) and measuring 20.24 inches.
Here are a few notes from DeAnn about being a first time Mommy:
Dawson has brought such joy to our lives! We look at him every day and are in awe. He is our little miracle.
Both Patrick and I think that Dawson is incredibly strong. After enduring months of being kicked in the ribs by his little feet while I was pregnant, it comes as no surprise Dawson is still kicking now. He kicks out of a swaddle. He pushes his feet against our hands during playtime. He kicks the air while falling asleep. Patrick and I joke that he is going to be the kicker for the 49ers one day!
We are so in love with our little boy and are enjoying every minute!
